gFT member Hanxiao Cui, has won the Best Performance Award (2nd Prize, out of 62 participants) for a modelling competition in Yokohama, Japan. The main objective of this competition is to simulate and analyse the dynamic response of a bridge in Yokohama city under different operating conditions. This modelling competition is part of Asian-Pacific-European-Summer-School on Smart Structure Technology (APESS'17). The APESS'17 programme included an intensive three week lectures given by world©\leading experts on smart structure technologies and the International Workshop on Advanced Smart Materials and Smart Structures Technology (ANCRiSST2017) at the University of Tokyo.
