The annual Symposium hosted by the gFT at 
Cambridge, held today was an intense day of presentations and discussions about research findings and future trends in the façade sector.
The busy one-day conference was kicked off by Prof Chris Burgoyne who delivered a thought-provoking welcome address on behalf of the University of Cambridge Two external keynote speakers (Graham Coult from Eckersley O’Callaghan and Stefan Marinitsch from Seele),delivered inspirational presentations and were followed by detailed research presentations from gFT researchers. The conference was closed Dr Mauro Overend who provided a summary of the salient achievements of the gFT research group and a glimpse of the research plans for 2015-2016.
This year's attendance was considerably higher than previous symposia: 80 people from industry and other research centres were present and joined the lively discussions that followed each presentation and continued throughout the dinner at Christ's College.
